Graduation Requirements

At Level Up Scholars Academy, we prepare students for success in college, career, and life by setting high expectations and providing meaningful opportunities for growth. To earn a diploma from Level Up Scholars Academy, students must complete a minimum of 26 credits, participate in all required non-credit experiences, and present a final Capstone Project that reflects their growth and readiness for future success.

Portfolio & Capstone Projects Required

Career Concentration & Speciality Projects - Optional

Capstone Project in one core subject demonstrating research, writing, presentation, and real-world application.

Portfolio of Learning curated over grades 10–12, showcasing academic growth, reflections, and key accomplishments.

Optional: Career Concentration Project (for students on a CTE or specialty track), which may include internships, certification prep, or entrepreneurship plans.

Optional: SAT, ACT, or other standardized tests are recommended for college-bound students but not required for graduation.

At Level Up Scholars Academy, we don’t just prepare graduates for the world — we prepare them to shape the world. With purpose in their hearts, progress as their path, and power in their voices, our graduates rise ready to lead, create, and thrive.


A reflection of this commitment is in our unique Level-Up Leadership Course (LLC) that expands the traditional advisory model – engaging our scholars with our core principles in each weekly session. Every student will participate in this course through the duration of their tenure at Level-up Scholars Academy to foster a sense of belonging and community. 

Year 1

Foundations

Students focus on building strong academic habits and learning how to learn.

  • Emphasis on study skills, time management, and personal organization
     
  • Courses and activities highlight knowing thyself—exploring strengths, challenges, and values
     
  • Early introduction to digital tools, structured routines, and self-assessment systems
     
  • Advisory and mentoring sessions guide students in resilience, identity, and personal growth
     

Freshman year equips students with the systems, mindset, and self-awareness needed to thrive in high school and beyond.

Year 2

Purpose

Students begin connecting their interests to real-world applications.

  • Curriculum includes applied research, project-based learning, and goal setting
     
  • Community-based service projects and reflective writing deepen internal motivation
     
  • Opportunities to link academic growth with personal passions and future possibilities
     

Sophmore year helps students discover their purpose and align learning with their developing sense of calling.

Year 3

Progress

Students focus on academic rigor, problem-solving, and self-direction.

  • Specialized electives and interest-based learning modules become available  
  • Leadership opportunities and peer collaboration are emphasized  
  • Independent projects challenge students to apply skills across disciplines  

The Junior year supports students to make measurable progress, demonstrating growth through initiative, collaboration, and perseverance.

Year 4

Power

Students pursue Career & Industry Certifications in high-demand fields such as:

  • Digital Marketing  
  • Entrepreneurship  
  • Real Estate  
  • Healthcare Administration  
  • IT Fundamentals  
  • Certification pathways are stackable and align with national workforce trends  
  • Students graduate with real-world skills, a sense of calling, and a clear post-secondary plan  

In their Senior year, students step into the world with knowledge, confidence, and the power to shape their futures.
