📘 Grade 3: Discovery
Students build confidence as independent learners by strengthening core skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Instruction begins to shift from “learning to read” toward “reading to learn,” with students using texts to gather information and share ideas. Writing expands into multi-paragraph compositions, and mathematics emphasizes problem-solving and logical reasoning. Exploration in science, social studies, and the arts nurtures curiosity and creativity.
📙 Grade 4: Growth
Learners expand their capacity for critical thinking and responsibility. Reading instruction focuses on comprehension, analysis, and vocabulary development across genres. Writing becomes more structured, with attention to organization, voice, and clarity. In math and science, students apply concepts to real-world situations through projects and inquiry. Social studies broadens perspective, fostering civic awareness and appreciation for cultural diversity.
📒 Grade 5: Preparation
As the final stage of elementary school, students prepare for the challenges of middle school by consolidating academic foundations and developing independence. Writing emphasizes research, evidence, and revision. Math deepens in fractions, decimals, and geometry, while science projects highlight inquiry and experimentation. Students take on more responsibility for time management, collaboration, and goal setting, building confidence as they transition into the middle school journey.
✍️ Handwriting Without Tears (Grades 3–5)
In grades 3–5, Handwriting Without Tears helps students transition from writing for practice to writing for purpose. The program strengthens cursive and print fluency, reinforces legibility, and builds the stamina needed for longer writing tasks across subjects. Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, students refine fine motor control, develop speed without sacrificing clarity, and gain confidence in using handwriting as a tool for communication, note-taking, and creative expression.
